Facilitation | Strategic Retreats | Leadership Workshops
Your team has the talent. Something is getting in the way.
We’ve sat in a lot of rooms where everyone was smart, everyone cared, and something still wasn’t landing. Usually, it wasn’t a strategy problem.
We blend coaching depth, facilitation clarity, and strategic thinking to help leadership teams cut through the noise, name what is actually true, and make decisions that hold long after the room empties.

Sound Familiar?
You’ve probably done a retreat before. You’re wondering why it didn’t stick.
The Packed Agenda
Maybe the agenda was packed but the real issue never came up.
The Dissolving Alignment
Maybe alignment lasted three weeks and quietly dissolved.
The Surface Conversation
Maybe people said all the right things in the room, and were back to old patterns by Thursday.
The thing blocking progress in most leadership rooms is rarely the strategy. It’s the conversation that hasn’t happened yet. We’ve spent years learning how to find it. And how to build the conditions for it to finally be said.
Leaders rarely call us because something is broken. They call because they’re ready.
You don’t need to be broken to need great facilitation.
You just need to be honest about what’s possible when the right conditions exist.
They call when:
The team is talented and somehow not fully rowing together
A strategic shift is coming and shared clarity is missing
Trust has eroded and people are performing rather than contributing
Conversations are happening about each other instead of with each other
Something important is at stake and they want to get it right this time
Most facilitators manage the room. We go beneath it.
Facilitation is not just what we do. At karmadharma, it’s who we are.
Karen Bramhill
Chief People & Culture Officer
Sometimes you can feel it. There’s something sitting in the air that hasn’t been named yet. And if you don’t rush to rescue them, it eventually gets said.
Karen has spent years learning what lives under the surface of every leadership conversation. The energy before a word is spoken. The pause that means something is waiting. The person who hasn’t said a word all morning, and what that silence is telling her about the room.
She knows that trust is built in repetition, not in a single offsite. And she has this rare quality of making people feel completely held and completely accountable at the same time.
Peter Georgariou
CEO & Co-Founder
I’ve sat on both sides of these tables. As a CEO who needed a facilitator, and as the person holding the room. I know what it costs to keep avoiding the real conversation.
Peter brings a coaching mindset and the experience of a founder-CEO who has navigated growth, hard decisions, and the gap between who an organization says it is and how it actually shows up. He asks the questions that slow everything down just enough to find what actually matters.
Together, Peter and Karen don’t just run retreats. They design experiences that change what becomes possible after them.

What shifts when the real work gets done.
Not because we handed people a framework. Because we helped a leadership team look in the mirror, together, and stayed with them while they did something about what they saw.

What We Offer
Corporate Retreat Facilitation and Leadership Sessions, Designed for Your Team
Every engagement is custom-designed. These are the formats we most commonly build from.
Strategic Planning Retreats
Clarity on where you’re going. And why it matters to everyone in the room. For leadership teams navigating growth, change, or a future that feels blurry.
We don’t start with the strategy deck. We start with the honest conversation about what’s actually happening. Then we build together.
You leave with:
- A shared strategic direction people genuinely believe in
- Decisions that have been stress-tested, not just agreed to
- Clear ownership and accountability
- Momentum that doesn’t evaporate when you leave the room
Grounded strategy work. Not abstract visioning.
Team Alignment Sessions
For when the friction is real but hard to name. When collaboration breaks down, it’s rarely about process. It’s usually about something unspoken.
We help teams surface what’s been circling, name what’s getting in the way, and build the foundation for honest, productive work.
We help you:
- Surface the unsaid without making it unsafe
- Clarify roles, expectations, and working agreements
- Build communication habits that hold under pressure
- Repair trust where it has been quietly eroding
Connection first. Then clarity.
Leadership Development Workshops
The inner work of leading well. Skills without self-awareness don’t stick.
We focus on the human side of leadership: what you’re practicing, what patterns are running quietly in the background, and what it looks like to lead from clarity instead of habit.
Topics include:
- Courageous conversations and navigating conflict
- Feedback that actually lands
- Accountability without micromanagement
- Psychological safety and emotional intelligence
- Leading through change and uncertainty
Practical. Personal. Built to stay with you.
Team Reset Retreats
When the team needs to come back to each other. Designed for groups that have been through a lot — restructures, transitions, burnout, or the slow erosion that comes from moving too fast for too long.
Structured space to breathe, reconnect, and rebuild culture intentionally.
Includes:
- Confidential pre-retreat interviews
- Safe-space dialogue facilitation
- Shared narrative and forward commitments
- Follow-up check-in session included
Designed for performance, not just experience.
Ongoing Facilitation & Advisory
Because transformation happens in the long game. One session can spark something real. Sustained change requires showing up again and again.
We offer quarterly leadership cadence sessions, strategic check-ins, follow-through workshops, and advisory for teams committed to growing for real.
Includes:
- Retained facilitation relationship
- Quarterly planning and check-in sessions
- Ad-hoc advisory between sessions
- Priority access and continuity of facilitator
Momentum doesn’t end when the retreat does. Neither do we.
Every session is designed to change what comes after it.
Every engagement starts long before the room is booked.
Each quarter, we host a 60-minute live facilitation session. No slides. No pitch. One real shift.
01
We start with what’s real
Not what’s on the agenda. What’s actually happening. What decisions need to be made, what conversations have been avoided, and what the team needs to feel safe enough to do their best work.
02
We understand the human dynamics
Who is in the room, what’s the history, what needs to be honoured, and what needs to shift. We design for the people, not just the outcomes.
03
We build the right experience
Intentional structure, real participation, moments of levity and moments of depth. Architecture that invites honesty. Not a packed day of slides.
04
We build follow-through in
Agreements, clarity, and accountability that carry beyond the session. Because a great facilitation experience should change what happens next, not just what happens in the room.
Questions leaders ask before they book.
What makes a corporate retreat or leadership offsite actually work?
The sessions that create lasting change share three things: a facilitator who works beneath the surface rather than managing it, a design that builds psychological safety before asking for honest dialogue, and a clear mechanism for follow-through after everyone goes home. Most retreats fail not because of bad intentions but because the real conversation never happens. We design for the real conversation.
How do we know if we need an external facilitator or if we can run this ourselves?
If the outcome matters and the leader needs to be a full participant, bring a facilitator. When the person running the session is also trying to contribute, hold the group dynamics, and manage the process, something always gets compromised. A skilled facilitator lets your leaders be fully present in the conversation.
What is the difference between a strategic planning retreat and a team alignment session?
A strategic planning retreat is primarily about direction: where are we going, what are our priorities, how do we decide. A team alignment session is primarily about people: how we work together, what's getting in the way, what we need from each other to function well. Often, both are needed. Our Team Clarity Tool can help you identify the right starting point.
How long does it take to see results from facilitation work?
A single well-designed session can shift the dynamic meaningfully. Sustained culture change and deep alignment take time and consistent practice. We see the most significant results in teams who engage across multiple touchpoints over three to twelve months. Our ongoing facilitation support is designed for exactly that.
Do you work with organizations across Canada and the United States?
Yes. We work with organizations across North America, with team presence in Ottawa, Montreal, and Philadelphia. We facilitate both in-person and virtually, depending on what serves the team best.
Who typically books facilitation support?
We work with CEOs, COOs, Chief People Officers, Heads of HR, and senior leaders preparing for a critical moment with their team. We also frequently work with chiefs of staff sourcing the right facilitator for an upcoming offsite or leadership event. If you're the person trying to make the next session actually matter, you're in the right place.
Not sure where to start?
Before you design the agenda, find out what your team actually needs.
- A strategy retreat won’t land if trust is low.
- A morale reset won’t hold if direction is unclear.
- A skills workshop won’t stick if the real problem is something else entirely.
